Be a Looker

Have you heard of Looker yet? Looker is an app that you can get for your phone/tablet from App Store (for Apple devices) and Google Play. Looker is bringing a new and different aspect to fashion related social media, that at least to me is really refreshing.

What is different about it then? Well first of all there is no pressure of ‘doing better than the others’ – no one can see how many followers you have got but you, and even you can’t see who your followers are. So there goes the pressure to follow back as well. Every user of Looker gets to build a ‘Style Team’ of 20 Looker-users who either dress similar to you or are similar look and size or just inspire you, and you can easily see the outfits they post. However you can always look for others using their username or characteristics – and you can always change who is in your Style Team if you want to.

So what do you do on Looker? You post your outfits and can provide links to other Lookers to buy your outfit if they are inspired to do so. When you have been added to 10 Style Teams you get 1% commission for the things your photos sell, with that going up to maximum of 5% with every 10 Style Teams you gain. So with Looker you don’t have to be a blogger or influencer to be able to earn commission of sales – it doesn’t matter if you have 10 or 97865 followers, you can still earn commission.. all this without no one except Looker HQ knowing how many followers you actually have. Definitely less pressure :)!

Oh, and can’t forget this important bit (at least to me, as I keep blocking a lot of men on my socials):  Looker is only for women. Just women inspiring each other. As Looker HQ puts it:

There’s no competition with others, it’s a community helping fellow women in the common pursuit of dressing well.

Download Looker for free on App Store or Google Play and get started! You can find me on Looker by searching Hanna Wears, along with ready to shop link to this fab shirt dress and similar links to other items :).

The new Manon Baptiste collection from navabi is simply stunning. I was offered a chance to pick up an item for a post, and I definitely had issues choosing! I decided to go with this checked midi shirt dress, as I thought it would be ideal to wear for both work and free time :). The shape is simply wonderful for my body type, and I feel like it is the wintery version of this dress. Hello, a new staple for my winter wardrobe is here!

Dress / Mekko*: 28, Manon Baptiste via navabi | Socks / Sukat: Primark (similar) | Shoes / Kengät*: George at ASDA (similar) | Bag / Laukku*: Just Fab (similar) | Lipstick / Huulipuna: Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me

Uusi Manon Baptiste mallisto navabilta on aivan upea.

You deserve the whole world

Last weekend Mayah and I walked  from our flat to nearby Hampstead village for Mayah’s birthday dinner. I’ve been in London for almost 8 years now, and Hampstead has been my favourite place since my first months here. With 99% certainty I will never actually afford to live there myself, haha, but I love living in a nearby area so that the beauty of the village and the peaceful forest trails of Hampstead Heath are always near.

As we were walking up there, I wanted to dress comfy but still cute. I went with my My Little Pony crop from a few years back, and my current favourite, an In The Style Curve slip dress (that I worn a different way in my Christmas post). I just love the current t-shirt and slip dress trend – such an easy and comfy way to be stylish!

Top / Paita: 18, Primark (similar) | Dress / Mekko*: 28, In The Style Curve (similar) | Trainers / Kengät: New Look (similar) | Sunglasses / Aurinkolasit: Le Specs No Smirking | Clutch / Laukku: Yours Clothing (similar) | Lipgloss / Huulikiilto*: Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Gloss in Life’s A Peach

Valitsin My Little Pony-paidan jokusen vuoden takaa, ja nykyhetken lempparini, In The Style Curven mekon (joka on myös tässä joulupostaukseni asussa).

I’m not made of stone

The past few weeks have been a bit hard on me for various reasons, but visiting London Fashion Week with Maybelline last weekend was a lovely distraction for me. I wore this cute Darlene velvet dress that was sent to me by Beloved Endeavour. The brand was born from blogger Diane‘s love of vintage, but as it is seen on me – can be worn by non-vintage girls too! (Fun fact: Diane’s blog was one of the first plus-blogs I ever found.) The dress is size 24, and it is pretty stretchy and roomy, as I’m more of a 26-28 myself. I wore the dress with a pussybow blouse from navabi, patent shoes and a backpack from Primark. And of course had to finish it with Maybelline lips ;).

Dress / Mekko*: 24, Beloved Endeavour | Blouse / Paita*: 28, Manon Baptiste via navabi | Tights / Sukkikset: XXL, Primark Fuller Figure Tights | Shoes / Kengät: New Look (similar) | Bag / Laukku: Primark (similar) | Lips / Huulet*: Maybelline Baby Lips in Chai Tea Latte
