Classic with Twists

(Suomeksi kuvien alla)

Today is an exciting day for me, as today my first blog post for Huffington Post went live. The post is just me telling with an example how I make most of my wardrobe, and not wear the same things all the time. So I just wanted to show you more pics of the example outfit that I used, and the outfit details as well :).

Coat / Takki: 22-24, Yours Clothing | Top / Toppi*: XXL, Junarose | Jeans / Farkut*: 26, Junarose (same without dip-dye) | Shoes / Kengät: Red Herring via Debenhams (similar) | Clutch / Laukku*: boohoo (similar) | Necklace / Kaulakoru: Primark (similar) | Glasses / Rillit: Select Specs | Lippy / Huulipuna*: NV Siren Lipstick | Nail polish / Kynsilakka*: Barry M Classic Matte Nail Paint in Espresso and Ciate All Aglow

Tänään on mulle jännä päivä, ensimmäinen blogi-postaukseni Huffington Post:ille julkaistiin meinaan tänään! Postauksessa kerron esimerkki-asun avulla miten otan enemmän irti vaatekaapistani, jotta en aina käyttäisi vaan samoja vaatekappaleita. Tässä postauksessa halusin vaan näyttää teille enemmän kuvia tuosta asusta, ja tietysti myös tiedot mistä mikäkin vaate on :).

More Monochrome

(Suomeksi kuvien alla)

I posted about my visit to the F&F boutique yesterday, and now it’s time to show you the items that I took with me. I couldn’t leave this monochrome cocoon coat there, I absolutely fell in love with it. And the striped knit jumper was a perfect cropped length on me in size 18. Good choices, right?

The skirt is a gorgeous quality piece by Manon Baptiste, and I received it from Navabi as a part of their absolutely genius Lemon Experience-campaign (check out the hashtag #lemonexperience on Instagram). I don’t think I’ve ever owned something that feels so lovely on as this skirt does.

I completed the monochrome look with the block heel ‘trainers’ that I got from Debenhams sale, and these cute frilly socks from Matalan.

Coat / Takki*: 22, F&F | Jumper / Villapaita: 18, F&F | Skirt / Hame*: 28, Manon Baptiste via Navabi | Shoes / Kengät: Red Herring via Debenhams (similar) | Socks / Sukat*: Matalan (similar) | Necklace / Kaulakoru: gift from Dani (similar) | Lippy / Huulipuna: Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Vivid Rose | Nail polish / Kynsilakka: For The Twill Of It by Essie

Band of Flowers

Hello my lovies,

Seems like it’s been AGES that I have done an outfit post using pics that are not a part of a challenge or weren’t taken months ago! And that is actually true. So finally, something new, and something that I wore to work that day and felt cute in :). I’ve had the flower headband for a while, but for some reason haven’t worn it. You’ve seen this dress on the blog already (here), but since it is one of my favourites I wanted to think of ways to make it more casual. The headband, dress and shoes are all very cutesy, but I think the denim vest brings a certain roughness to it all and makes it a casual outfit.

Denim vest: 1x, Forever 21+ (denim jackets at Forever 21+, Evans) | Dress*: 24, Project D for Simply Be | Shoes: Red Herring at Debenhams (pink peeptoes at ASOS) | Headband: Primark (similar at ASOS) | Glasses: Select Specs | Lippy: Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch (UK link, US link)

OOTD: Pink & Lace

Hello everyone,

Hope you’ve had a nice weekend. It’s a Bank Holiday here in the UK today, so no work for me this Monday, whoo ;). That means I have some more time to work on my blog. I’m still working on the new layout, I need to do a few tweaks and then I can hopefully have it up soon. Can’t wait to hear your comments on it!

So, on Saturday I went to Bluewater shopping centre with the lovely Caroline of CurvyWordy, and I wanted to dress myself nicely in my new gorgeous lace top. We had a little photoshoot at the glamorous carpark ;) and of course I stepped into a puddle.. well, at least we got a few laughs out of that :D.

Top: L, Carmakoma (in super sale) | Skirt: 22, Asos Curve (size 22 in pink still available) | Shoes: Red Herring via Debenhams (still available in super sale in stores, online at Debenhams Ireland) | Bag: Primark (similar) | Headband: Forever 21 (similar) | Sunnies: Aldo (similar) | Lippy: Natural Collection Moisture Shine in Cranberry (available in Boots)

Our main purpose for the trip was to visit Leia Lingerie and get myself fitted by them.. and maybe find some pretty bras to take home. ..which led to this on the left! Be sure to check my coming post for more about this AMAZING find.

So what do you think of my sale finds in this outfit? I still can’t believe that I fot that Carmakoma top for £20! Have you been shopping this weekend?
