Smart Bows

(Suomeksi alla)

The pussy-bow blouses are everywhere at the moment, and yes, there’s even a few in my closet ;). I love how they can be worn in a really smart way or really cute way. For this post I went with smart, and teamed this gorgeous Manon Baptiste blouse from navabi with a black faux leather skirt. Smart enough for job interviews, office, and going out as well!

Blouse / Paita*: 28, Manon Baptiste via navabi | Skirt / Hame: 26, DP Curve | Tights / Sukkikset: XXL, Primark Fuller Figure Tights | Heels / Korkkarit: Evans (similar) | Clutch / Laukku*: F&F (similar) | Lipstick / Huulipuna*: Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipstick in Ravishing Rose

The Plus-size Workwear Challenge: Freestyle

Hello lovelies,

A few weeks ago the gorgeous Naomi of Diamonds n’ Pearls was asking other plus-size bloggers on Twitter if anyone would be interested in doing a five-week workwear challenge. There was a nice response and now it’s the 10 of us doing this! 2 of us will post each working day, and we have been given themes for each week. Please see this post by Naomi for more information :). First week’s challenge was a blazer, second week’s was pencil skirt or a pussy bow, third was stepping out of our comfort zones, and fourth was all about popping some colour. You can see my previous posts here, here, here and here.

This is the fifth and final week of this challenge, and the theme is Freestyle. I decided to take this as a chance to do a ‘casual Friday’-look with some of my new Primark goodies, and I will totally wear this look to work some day soon!

The Plus-size Workwear Challenge: Stepping out of your comfort zone

Hey my lovelies,

A few weeks ago the gorgeous Naomi of Diamonds n’ Pearls was asking other plus-size bloggers on Twitter if anyone would be interested in doing a five-week workwear challenge. There was a nice response and now it’s the 10 of us doing this! 2 of us will post each working day, and we have been given themes for each week. Please see this post by Naomi for more information :). First week’s challenge was a blazer, second week’s was pencil skirt or a pussy bow, and you can see my posts here and here.

This week’s challenge is stepping out of our comfort zones. I was thinking what this could be, since I’m quite comfortable wearing anything.. but then I remembered this Simply Be jumpsuit – it looks like you’re wearing your nan’s sofa, but it is AMAZING. Print this loud is definitely out of my comfort zone, but I have actually worn it to work once. I did get quite a few comments, women loved it and one man (one of my best work mates) commented something like I’m wearing nan’s curtains ;).

Time for me to get back to bed (yes, I am still sick, and yes, happily these pics were taken over the weekend too..), but you should go and see how the other bloggers in this challenge stepped out of their comfort zone!
