Myth 1- You Get Acne Because You Do Not Wash Your Face

This is a very common myth that you get acne because you do not wash your face frequently. But in order for acne to develop, you need to have the combination of four important factors: clogged pores from shedding keratin/skin cells, bacteria, sebum, and inflammation. So, washing your face frequently will not solve the issue because this is not the sole cause of acne. But not just face, you need to use correct products for your hair, skin and nails. The hair skin and nails vitamins are extremely beneficial for people.

Myth 2- All-Natural Products Are 100% Natural

This is also a common myth regarding skincare products. However, this is not true. There is always a thin line separating all natural from organic. Products that are labelled as the natural are not fully natural. However, this is suggested to use the products, which contain the lesser chemical. Natural skincare products may contain allergenic organic compounds. 

In fact, there is no solid proof that preservatives and parabens in skincare are harmful to your skin. In fact, without preservatives, skincare and cosmetics are more vulnerable to the enlargement of bacteria, mould and yeast. So, whenever you go on the route of natural, make sure that you read the label of the products carefully. Along with that, you also need to ensure that you pay close attention to expiration dates on your products, as natural products do not last as long as the alternatives.

This is a very common myth, which needs to be busted immediately. Using hot water for cleansing your face is not a good skincare regime that you should follow. Basically, both the freezing cold water and hot water is not perfect for your skin rather use the lukewarm water instead.

Myth 4- The Harder You Exfoliate /Scrub the Better You Skin

With the process of CTM (cleansing, toning and moisturizing), you also need to exfoliate your skin with a good scrub. But wait how many times you exfoliate your skin in a week?  There are lots of people who use exfoliation on a daily basis, which should not be done at any cost. Exfoliation is one of the important steps in your beauty regimen as this opens up your pore and makes your skin smoother. But over-exfoliation is never required so ensure that you choose the right scrub and use it in a proper manner.

Myth 5- You Can Skip the Sunscreen if it’s Cloudy Outside

You must have heard one very common statement that during winter or monsoon, you can skip the part of applying sunscreen. This is also a very common myth that floats around. If you think that you only need sunscreen during summer, then you need to get your head out of the clouds! This turns out that you should wear broad-spectrum SPF each and every day even when the sky is cloudy. Using good SPF sunscreen will help to prevent skin damage, dark spots and wrinkles.

Myth 6- Oily Skin People Do Not Need Moisturisation

No matter what your skin type, dry, dehydrated, oily, acne-prone, normal or combination, you will have to use some moisturizer at least once in a day. But the type of moisturizer and time of applying it completely depends on your skin type.  As per the skincare experts, oily or acne-prone skin people can use the lightweight moisturizer whereas the dry skin people should use a thick moisturizing lotion to keep their skin nourished and balanced.
