Natok Vung Beach

Popularly known as ‘Gem Island’, Ngoc Vung Island is again located in the Van Don district. To the south of the island is a three-kilometer-long stretch of white sand, which extends over the Ngoc Vung beach in sunlight. This beach in Halong has not yet deteriorated and is polluted by tourism and is therefore ancient. 

Therefore, there are no large resorts or hotels, however, many tourists often come here to enjoy the peaceful environment, to camp, to enjoy a barbecue, and to spend a night. 

Tuan Chau Beach

Covering an area of 2.2 kilometers, Tuan Chao is an artificial ancient white beach in Halong Bay located on the island of Tuan Chow. The backdrop of the beach is covered with cedar forest trees, giving a very picturesque location for photographers. It digs a hole in the pocket with expensive rooms, however, it is an ideal place for all luxury travelers to unwind and relax in the middle of Halong Bay. Travelers can enjoy activities such as swimming, snorkeling, wave surfing, climbing, and camping in the eco-tourism zone.

Bai Chai Beach

Hal Chong Beach, Bai Chong Beach, is an artificial beach in Halong Bay, which is naturally beautiful, close to the coast of Halong Bay City. According to a legend, the name Bai Chai comes from when a fleet led by Truong Wan Ho arrived there, and Vietnamese troops led by Tran Khan Du set a fierce fire on it, which burned the forests of western Ku Luk. Being the closest and accessible to Halong city, Bai Chay beach is becoming a very popular tourist destination among other beaches.

Tourists can enjoy many water sports like water skiing, marine motorcycling, snorkeling, scuba diving, etc. There are several large hotels and villas among the pine trees where travelers can relax for a night or two. All other beaches such as Ngoc Vung, Quan Lan, Tuan Chau, and the main Halong Bay are extremely convenient to get to from Bai Chao Beach.

Min Chow Beach

Last but not the least, Mong Chou beach is another popular beach in Halong Bay to soak up the island vibe, before heading back to Hanoi City. Today, the increase in tourism has led to the creation of a couple of resorts and hotels on this beach. There is also a small campsite on the beach where visitors can camp overnight. 

You can immerse yourself in the fresh and natural landscape through the dense Casuarina forest or maze around on a two-kilometer-long beach and listen to the waves staring at the majestic sea. The majority of the beach has shallow water, making it suitable for children to swim easily, and some of the parts are moderately wavy to release some turtles for those who are interested in some exploration. Quan Lan Beach

Kwan Lan Beach is located on Kwan Lan Island in Bai Tu Long Bay. The island stretches from the Van Don Range to Goat Mountain with a backdrop of lush green pines. Kwan Lan Beach is one of the few beaches in Halong Bay, which is still unaffected by tourism, therefore, the sand and water are pristine and make it grand for the small number of tourists who come to visit here. 

The island is located on an important navigation route and used to be the ancient commercial port of the Van Don district. The deep blue sea contains precious creatures such as octopus, shrimp, mackerel, and butterfish. Spread across several kilometers, this lesser-known beach with its clean environment is perfect for travelers looking for a peaceful beach instead of the crowded Bai Chai. There are also some guest houses that have recently been built for tourists who want to stay overnight.

Ba Trai Dao Beach

Consisting of three small mountains, the Ba Trai Dao beach looks like a cluster of three peaches. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Halong Bay with such a stunning natural setting. The island’s name comes from an old legend about an angel who stole three peaches from heaven for a fisherman with whom he fell in love. The kings of heaven transformed these peaches into three large stones to punish the angel, hence the name. 

The white sands and crystal clear blue and shallow waters of the sea are ideal for travelers who want to snorkel, scuba, kayak, or just sunbathe and maze around. There are also some great rock climbing options for those interested. Due to high tide, the sea is only open for swimming two or three hours a day. There are no accommodation options on this beach, therefore, it is just a stop for cruises.
