Tech21 is an awesome site for getting to know the inner workings of the latest technology that is available. They also feature reviews on software, gadgets, home theater gear, and much more.
Of all the websites I’ve ever visited, Tech21 is my favorite because it’s so thorough and comprehensive. They have a section with all the latest software, gadgets, and home theater gear that is available.
A few weeks ago I gave away one of my favorite computers to an online friend because I know I can trust her to use it properly and not screw up (for the most part). After receiving the computer, it was time to take it to the store to get some repairs to it. The repairman looked at the computer and said he saw a strange thing. He said that the screen looked dead, and had no response, when in fact it was just displaying the time.
I saw this firsthand. I am a computer repairman and my shop has a lot of computers. I’ve seen some of the worst things in the world done to computers recently, and I’ve also had computers that were so bad they needed to be replaced. I’ve seen a computer monitor go dead suddenly. I’ve seen a computer go completely dark. I’ve seen keyboards fail without warning.
This is the sort of thing that happens all the time. In fact, the computer repair man at the store has this sort of thing happen all the time. He’s seen a computer that doesn’t respond to key presses or to certain keys. He’s seen a keyboard that doesn’t work with a key. He’s seen a computer that goes completely black and then displays a message that says “computer is dead”.
So while I have no idea what happened to the computer I was working on last week, I have a sneaking suspicion that the computer was acting up. I know that I was working on a new software program for an entertainment company and the computer started acting up and crashing. It was a new laptop computer and I have heard that sometimes after your computer gets a virus or is in a bad way, the computer will crash.
That seems to be exactly the feeling I had when I got my new computer. I was working on a website that’s basically a bunch of pictures and videos and a bunch of other stuff and I had to shut down and restart it. And then I was getting a blue screen and it wouldn’t let me get into the website. So I had to reboot the computer and then I got the blue screen again. And then the computer was still working, but it wouldn’t display anything.
So, we’re not just talking about an Internet outage. The computer will actually be shutdown completely. It is going to shut down by the power company to prevent the spread of viruses. I know when I got my new computer I spent a lot of time troubleshooting it and trying to figure out why it wouldn’t work. I was still having problems when I got the new computer so I spent more time troubleshooting my computer than I ever did with my old one.
I’m not sure it’s a good thing to do when the computer is going to shut down completely because it’s going to shut off without the company having anything to do with it.
For the majority of us that use the internet, it is pretty common that something goes wrong with it. Our computer is not the only thing going wrong as new computers are getting constantly replaced and new viruses are appearing. There are several common reasons for this, none of which are fun to figure out if you don’t know what they are. The most common, of course, is an “infected” file on your computer.
